Dr. Wentia Ford M.S., MPAS, PhD, PA-C

Founder/President-The Wenty Ford Sports Foundation

Dr. Wentia Ford is the oldest daughter of the Bahamian Sports Legend the late Wenty Ford and Evangeline Ford.

She is an advanced practitioner in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dr. Diagne Premier ObGyn in Edinburg, Texas where she practices along side her husband physician Dr. Thiendella Diagne (Pronounced “Chen della JAN), board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, MD, FACOG.

Dr. Ford has worked in numerous specialties as an advanced practitioner that include Family Medicine, General Surgery & Bariatric Weight Loss, Wound Care and Obstetrics & Gynecology which she had practiced partially in 2018 and full-time since October 2020.

She currently holds a Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley, Edinburg, TX (2015), a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Science (2008) and a thesis Masters of Biology (2002) from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Magna Cum Laude 1999) from Norfolk State University.

Dr. Ford is a former national athlete representing the Bahamas in the Javelin at the Carifta Games in 1995(silver medalist) and Jr. Pan Am Levels.  She is passionate about serving humanity.  She has completed medical missions to Haiti and West Africa, Senegal providing live saving medical procedures and health care for under privileged in these developing countries.

In her free time she thoroughly enjoys being a mother, exercising, listening to music and reading.

Nathaniel McKinney, “AKA Nate DaGreat,” is one of the nephews of the Bahamian Sports Legend, the late Wenty Ford.

He’s currently employed with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism Investments & Aviation in the Sports Tourism Department. His role is to help facilitate international sporting events. McKinney also played an active role at Expo 2020 in Dubai, UAE. He was one of the Bahamian pavilion hosts and tour guides. Special guests included government diplomats, notably members of the Dubai Royal Family, Sheikh, Prime Ministers, Commissioner Generals from other countries, school students, and university scholars.

Mr. McKinney is a recognized figure in the Bahamian community and among his colleagues. The moniker “Nate DaGreat” was given to him by Ms. Inger Dassler, the owner of ADIDAS Company, in 2005 during her visit to her residence in the Bahamas.

Mr. McKinney is a 2005 graduate of Saint Augustine’s College in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he attained a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Human Performance & Wellness Concepts. He is also an esteemed member of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity.

Mr. McKinney’s professional career accomplishments as a national Bahamian track athlete include him being a part of the 4X400m relay team, bronze medalist at the 2003 IAAF World Championships in Paris, France, sixth at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, silver medalist at the 2005 IAAF World Championships in Helsinki, Finland, and silver medalist at the 2007 IAAF World Championships in Osaka, Japan.

He has a profound passion for people, especially children and horses. His humble upbringing in the heart of downtown Rawson Square, Nassau, Bahamas, immersed him in the tourism industry from an early age. By the time he was four years old, he was already involved in the tourism industry, operating the horse-drawn surrey as a co-pilot and learning how to give guided tours at numerous historical sites throughout the Bahamas. His love for horses encompasses their care, riding, and even swimming, which he continues to engage in today through activities such as horseback riding. Additionally, he finds great fulfillment in participating in urban community projects and initiatives aimed at giving back, as they provide much joy and satisfaction.

As the Founder of Dream Chasers Social Development Club, Nathaniel sought to establish a framework to escape the prevailing issues of crime and violence within our communities. The program aims to defy stereotypes and become a beacon of hope globally, fostering social progress and empowerment.

In his spare time, he enjoys attending and volunteering in church, spending time with his son, Maison, and engaging in community service.

D’Ondre is the Assistant Youth Officer with the Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas & The Turks and Caicos Islands with the responsibility to move the mission and vision of the Diocesan Youth Department forward. She attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Mount Allison University (New Brunswick, Canada) and a Master’s of Education in Social Context and Education Policy from the University of the West Indies (CaveHill, Barbados).

D’Ondre is also the Director of Programming with The Brighter Bahamas Foundation. This non-profit organization advocates for reading literacy by ensuring every child has universal access to children’s literature. D’Ondré is an Executive Board Member of D’Visionary Business Consultants, an organization that helps businesses develop new processes or enhance existing processes surrounding finical continuity and company productivity. She is a charter member of the Rotary Club of East Nassau’s Satellite Club (Rotary After Dark), an internationally renowned organization whose motto is Service Above Self.

D’Ondré’s understanding of the Bahamian diaspora, its varying social and cultural perspectives, and the relationship between education and development guides her pedagogical perspective. She believes that organizations that work with children should be spaces where individuals can better prepare for their role as 21st-century leaders and their purpose as active national, regional, and global citizens. Over the years, her employment and academic work have opened the door to her helping others.

Her goal to be an instrumental tool in developing others is the primary reason she finds herself in service with the ADYD (Anglican Diocese Youth Department) and supports all avenues that lead to the success of the Ideal Anglican Youth. She is a daughter, a loving sibling, and, most important, a Christian. It is her recent privilege to hold the position of Secretary for The Wenty Ford Sports Foundation.

Dr. Esther Akindayomi MBA, DNP, APRN, CRNA-BC

She is the CEO and founder of R.G.Vita Infusions. She migrated from Nigeria to the United States in 2006 after completing her undergraduate degree in Accounting. Upon arrival to the US, she underwent a personal health challenge that led her to venture into the nursing profession.

Dr. Akindayomi is Board Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who started her career in nursing as a Certified Nurse Assistant in 2007 and forged ahead until she received her Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice in 2017 from Touro University in Nevada. She also has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). Dr. Akindayomi is a nursing faculty at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a real estate agent with NextHome Realty RGV.

She is a mother to two handsome boys. She enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family and friends when she is not at work, saving lives. She is very passionate about helping and serving her community.

She is a board member of Village in the Valley, Infinite Love, a member of FEMCITY, RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Village, City of McAllen Ambulance Committee, and the founder of the RGV CRNA Club, an organization she started out of her passion of bringing people together and serving her community while creating awareness for a profession she loves very much.
